The NYSC mobilization, online registration and orientation is ongoing and many prospective candidates will miss it due to some minor reasons. NYSC warns all PCM to get ready for this years’ online registration and mobilization. The NYSC boss say most prospective corps members (PCM) will be denied mobilization this year due to some reason(s), The following reasons might make you miss the next NYSC batch.

Reasons Why You Might Miss NYSC Online Registration and not be Mobilized

Your Institution (University/Polytechnics)

This is not even a thing to bargain with because it’s as important as it sounds. There is no way you can go for service if your institution fail to clear you. You have to make sure you don’t have any carry-overs, you have cleared all payments in department, faculty or the institution at large or other issues with your institution.

Also, make sure you have pay for NYSC mobilization fee in the institution choice of bank and have filled the NYSC mobilization form and submitted to you institution students’ affairs office. For example, UNIPORT require their graduates to fill the NYSC form at the Students’ Affairs Department. Not all schools do this, but you should just confirm to be on a safe side.

JAMB Regularization Issues

It is currently called JAMB Late Application but was formerly referred to as “regularization”. This provides an opportunity for candidates that are in higher institution who have graduated or about to graduate but was not offered admission direct from JAMB (i.e Through remedial programmed or by school) with or without JAMB registration number to regulate between Jamb and your institution to obtain admission letter for NYSC mobilization.

Name not on Jamb Matriculation List

It is important that you confirm your name from the matriculation list. Only candidates whose names are on this list are recognised as bonafide students from the various accredited institutions and are eligible for mobilization.

By implication, if your name is not on this list, your application to NYSC scheme for the one year National service shall be declined.

If you name is not on the list, kindly follow the below steps to qualify to be on the Matriculation List:

Print your Admission Letter Online from the e-Facility Platform
Print your Result Slip Online from the e-Facility Platform
Verify the two documents with the admission officer in your Institution

NYSC Age factor (You Are 30 Years Old)

Am sure you already know that once you are above 30 years old before graduation or before your institution approves your result for mobilization; you cannot go for NYSC service. This is most factor that makes PCM to not go for service and are offered NYSC EXEMPTION LETTER which will be delivered to your institution in hard copy or printed online.

I have not Collected my First Degree Certificate or Statement of Result

If you are already a graduate of any institution and you don’t have your certificate or statement of result at hand, you will not be able to go for NYSC service. This is because during verification in NYSC camp, you will be asked to tender your first degree or statement of result for clearance. NO CERTIFICATE, NO NYSC CAMPING. The statement of result or your certificate is very important in NYSC camp and if you don’t have it, you will not be allowed to stay in the NYSC camp and the one year services.

Time of Approval for Mobilization by Institution

The time with which your institution release the list of verified graduates who have cleared all the requirement for been a graduate can also make you to miss NYSC mobilization and online registration. So institution release list of graduates when portal for online registration is on, which will affect PCM to register and states of deployment must have be filled up.
