Federal Polytechnic, Ede Recruitment Recruitment is ongoing to fill various positions at the institution. Interested persons should follow the application guidelines and apply successfully.

The Federal Polytechnic Ede was established in 1992 in accordance with Federal Polytechnics Act CAP F17, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, as amended in 2019. The Polytechnic has two Campuses (North and South). The North Campus is located along Talafia Road, Ede, while the South Campus is located along Egbeda – Logun Road, Ede, Osun State.

The Polytechnic was established for the training of middle and high-level technical manpower. The Institution caters to a large Students population enrolled in Full-Time and Part-Time Programmes at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels. All the Programmes run by the Institution are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and relevant Professional Regulatory Bodies.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions below:

Job Title: Director of Physical Planning

Location: Ede, Osun

The Person

  • The Director of Physical Planning is responsible to the Rector for the Planning and Controlling the technical activities of the Physical Planning of the Polytechnic, Exercise general control on the Department Formulating and executing policies and programs on relevant matters
  • Advising on building needs, designs, and construction of the physical (Building) assets in terms of quality and quantity
  • Preparing the Department’s budget and exercising budgetary controls and Performing other duties as may be assigned.
  • The Director of Information Communication Technology must be a person of high integrity who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives and likely to command the respect and loyalty of the staff of the Polytechnic.
  • They must also be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in line with the visions and missions of the Polytechnic.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Applicants must possess B.Sc. / HND in either Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Building Technology, Estate Management, Town Planning, or Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution of higher learning, who must have acquired at least twenty (20) years post-academic qualification cognate experience or a Master’s Degree, with Eighteen (18) years post-academic qualification cognate experience or a Doctorate Degree with Fifteen (15) years post-academic qualification cognate experience.
  • Must also be a registered Member of relevant Professional Bodies like CORBON, NIOB, NIQS, NIA, etc.
  • Vast knowledge of the Public Procurement Process, Project Management, and evidence of Community Service will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Director of Information Communication Technology

Location: Ede, Osun

The Person

  • The Director of Information Communication Technology is responsible to the Rector for the overall supervision of the internet of the institution, taking charge of the general administration of the Department, taking charge of Computer and data processing development implementation, Liaising with ICT Companies, Universities, Polytechnics, Regulatory and International Agencies, providing advice on the General communication network of the Institution and performing other duties as may be assigned.
  • The Director of Information Communication Technology must be a person of high integrity who demonstrate transparency in public and private lives and likely to command the respect and loyalty of the staff of the Polytechnic.
  • They must also be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in line with the visions and missions of the Polytechnic.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Applicants must possess B.Sc. / HND in Computer Science from a recognized Institution of higher learning and must have acquired at least twenty (20) years post-academic qualification cognate experience or a Master’s Degree, with Eighteen (18) years post-academic qualification cognate experience or a Doctorate Degree with Fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience.
  • Must also be a registered Member of relevant professional bodies eg, Computer Professional Registration Council.
  • Evidence of community service will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Chief Procurement Officer

Location: Ede, Osun

The Person

  • The Chief Procurement Officer must be a person of high integrity who demonstrates transparency in public and private lives and is expected to command the respect and loyalty of the staff of the Polytechnic.
  • The Chief Procurement Officer is responsible for the discharge of all procurement processes, preparing annual reports in respect of the central procurement, reviewing procurement policies, regulations, and guidelines, advising the Polytechnic on all procurement matters, coordinating the activities of the Procurement Unit and performing other duties as may be assigned.
  • He/She must also be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them into action in line with the visions and missions of the Polytechnic.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a good Bachelor’s Degree / HND (minimum of Second Class Lower / Lower Credit) in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Quantity Surveying, Banking & Finance, Law, Insurance, Economics, or any other relevant discipline with at least 18 years post-academic qualification cognate work experience or a Master’s Degree with at least 15 years post-academic qualification cognate work experience.
  • Membership in a relevant and recognized body is mandatory while evidence of Community service is an added advantage
  • The applicant must have also passed the procurement conversion examination.

Terms of Appointment

  • Applicants must not be more than 50 years of age (fresh appointment) at the time he/she assumes duty.
  • The salary for the position is CONTEDISS 14 while other terms and conditions of appointment are as provided by the conditions of service of the Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria or the Governing Council of the Polytechnic.
  • The Candidate must show medical fitness for the Position.
