Job Title: Training Officer

Location: Obajana, Kogi

Department: DCP – HR

Job Summary

  • To coordinate Training and Development activities, generate, maintain and manage all training and development data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collates annual training and development needs from appraisal records
  • Develops training plan to meet identified needs.
  • Provides essential training services including attendance register, course materials, name tags, course evaluation, meals, and refreshments during training
  • Provides logistics support for invited training vendors Conducts, analyses, and documents post-training evaluation Prepares monthly and annual training and development reports
  • Ensures ITF approval of courses to be implemented Makes training reimbursement claims from ITF
  • Coordinates all internal training sessions
  • Keeps and provides all training aids, tools, and facilities
  • Facilitates the implementation of training and development plan Liaises with Sectional/Departmental Heads, Training Consultants and Industrial Training Fund in facilitating specific training programmes
  • Plans and facilitates induction training for new employees Plans and facilitates Industrial Tours and Visits
  • Prepares all training rooms ready for use
  • Any other duty that may be assigned by the Sectional Head, Learning and Development/Talent Management or any other Superior Officer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Humanities or Social Sciences related discipline.
  • 6+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Having a Professional qualification in HR Management like Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) is an added advantage.

Job Title: CCR Operator (Production) – Cement Industry

Location: Okpella, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Production
Reports To: Section Head
Direct Reports/ Subordinates: Plant Patrollers, Production Attendants

Job Summary

  • Responsible for Plant Operation and Process Control of the Kilns, Raw Mills, Cement Mills and Coal Mills.
  • Coordination, Supervision and Training of all other CCR Operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing the operation, in the shift, of Raw Mill, Kiln, Cement & Coal Mills and auxiliaries’ equipment from the Central Control Room (CCR)
  • Coaching and Training of CCR operators to execute operational initiatives for increasing production and reducing cost of production.
  • Ensure Implementation of ISO Systems and Safety Standards in Production Department.
  • Ensuring that the quality of the product going out from your department confirm with internal quality specifications.
  • Assessing self-development needs and taking action on improvement areas identified.
  • Relieves other Kiln CCR operator when on leave.
  • Co-ordination of autonomous maintenance with the help of shift patrollers to achieve the targeted availability of plant for production of raw meal and clinker respectively.
  • Trouble Shooting Operational Problems and taking actions to ensure run the equipment in steady trend on continuous basis.
  • Achieving optimum fuel efficiency, power consumption and minimizing manpower utilization.
  • Other additional assignments as entrusted by the management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years of working in experience in Cement Plant
