Job Title: Account Officer
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses
- Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate
- Reconcile all business accounts to ensure records match up and no transaction is lost
- Facilitate all outgoing cheques and distributing cheques as necessary.
- Evaluate financial operations to recommend best-practices, identify issues and strategize solutions that will help the organization run efficiently.
- Receive Artisan’s invoices and ensure prompt settlement for payment.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports (income, expenditure, landlord account etc.) using standard best practices.
- Assist the core team with other accounting duties as needed
- Prepare accounts and tax returns and ensure taxes are paid properly as and when due.
- Maintain relationship with the organization’s bank account officers and carry out periodic bank reconciliations where required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting
- Good communication and writing skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft office software
- Ability to pay attention to details.
