About FMC, Keffi

The Federal Medical Centre Keffi,  Nasarawa State was established in July 2000, as a result of the takeover of the former General Hospital Keffi by the Nigeria Federal Government under President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The hospital was established with the aim to Emerge as a center of excellence in health care delivery sustained by dedication to duty, unity of purpose, and respect for humanity to be known for hospitality and high level of professional practices commensurate with the technological age in the delivery of health services. To establish a commendable workforce guided by selfless service in an interdisciplinary approach with the sole aim of promoting health for the social and physical needs of society.

Requirements for FMC Keffi Internship Program 2023

Interested candidates for any of these positions should meet the requirements for their chosen position.

Dental Therapist Intern

  • HND or its equivalent from a recognized institution:
  • Provisional registration/license with the Dental Technologist Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN).

Pharmacist Intern

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree from a recognized institution;
  • Provisional registration/license with the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN).

Radiographer Intern

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Radiography from a recognized institution
  • Provisional registration/license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).

Nurse Intern

  • Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS) Degree from a recognized institution:
  • Provisional registration/license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (N&MCN).

Medical Laboratory Scientist Intern

  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science Degree from a recognized institution:
  • Provisional registration/license with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

Dental Technologist Intern

  • Bachelor of Technology Degree or HND or its equivalent from a recognized institution:
  • Provisional registration/license with the Dental Technologist Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN).

Optometrist Intern

  • Doctor of Optometry degree from a recognized institution:
  • Provisional registration/license with the Optometrists and Dispensing Registration Board of Nigeria (ODRBN).

FMC Kaffi Salary 

The Salary and allowances for all interns will be in accordance with the Public Health Service Salary Structure for each category of officers.
