Earlier today, I met with N-Power and National Social Safety Nets Project to decide the fate of npower and NSIP programme

The minister said that NSIP is the biggest in the black continent and has a numerical strength close to 500,000 volunteers, helping the nation to pursue her dream of becoming a power to reckon with among the committee of nations,” she twitted.

More structural organization and reform are to be put in place for a rapid response but was declined by the special adviser on Social Investment, insisting that the programme is already reformed she said.

Plans on Payment of New and Existing Beneficiaries Stipends

We are aware that most beneficiaries have not been paid their October 2019 stipends adding with the new month “December”. The board is aware and all these stipends will be paid before this Month runs out. To be sure, Batch A will start receiving their October 2019 stipends from today being 17th December, 2019.

Npower Backlog of Stipends and Salary

All the backlog/payment that have not been disbursed to beneficiaries, be assured that they will be paid and no one will be left out. Once the handover process is complete, we will be able to detect all backlogs and  immediately effect their payments.

Npower Transition Portal

The management took a transition survey this and find out the various needs of beneficiary and how to enhancement the programme. We will thus open up the transition portal next week for each batch A beneficiaries to select the transition programme most suitable for them.

Resignation from the Programme

We are also aware that over 3500 volunteers were either forcefully or unintentionally exited from the programme. We are seriously looking into this and at the appropriate time will come up with a statement.

FG Issues Fresh Threats- No TIN, No Bank Withdrawal from January 2020
