Breaking News: JAMB 2020 Cut Off Mark for Admission is 160

Jamb sets 2020 Cut off mark  – Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has set cut off mark for 2020 admission into tertiary institutions.

The board today Tuesday  has pegged the general cut off mark for admission into tertiary institutions  to be 160 and above.

So if you have scored 160 and above the just concluded JAMB exam congratulations, you are few steps to your admission.

Also the jamb has pegged the cut off mark for polytechnics to be 120 and above, while that of the Colleges of Education stands at 100 and above

Statistics from JAMB board shows that a total of 612, 557 candidates were offered admission in 2019 just as he said about 510,957 admission spaces were unused by tertiary institutions in 2019.

According to him, only 1,157,977 candidates had the required five credits with English and Mathematics that sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations last year.

“Out of 1,157,977 candidates who sat for UTME in 2019, about 612,557 were admitted,” he said in his opening address at the occasion.

By this announcement, the Jamb has said that admission processes for   2020 academic session are expected to commence in August based on the guidelines released by JAMB as Minister of Education, directs JAMB and tertiary institutions to begin with the conducting of 2020/2021 admissions.

The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, Adamu solicits to JAMB and tertiary institutions to consider candidates with previous years Senior School Certificate Examination and other qualifying results, to proceed with the admission process.

Finally, Jamb and tertiary institution urges and WARNS all intending candidates to UPLOAD their Olevel result( SSCE) to be considered for the 2020 Admission.
