Two Fake SARS men arrested in Rivers State- Is this END of SARS or NOT

The issue of the way SARS operatives behaves is now the most trending hash tags over the social media in the country. Those who are victims of the SARS operations especially the youths in the country cries out to the Nigerian Police Force to scrape out the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

On the other hand, while the youths are complaining about the activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS, another shocking and mind blowing incidence of SARS in the south-south of Nigeria (Rivers State) of two fake SARS operatives parading as to be a force men.

It has been reported that the Rivers State Police Force arrested two men who have been parading themselves as a personnel of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS in Igwrurta.

More information on the suspected fake SARS operatives;

One of the suspected fake SARS men claims to be the commander as named Kenneth Obunwa , while the other to be an officer named Oluwagbenga Abe. The two suspects have being charged to court.

One of the suspected fake SARS man Kenneth Obunwa is an indigene of Rivers State while the other Oluwagbenga Abe is from Ijero-Ekiti in Ekiti State.

The arrest of the two men was done after they received a distressed call on 5th December, 2017 at about 7:00AM as they were parading by the State Commander of SARS, Akin Fakorode, during which the suspects were apprehended.

This is what he has to say about the incidents

F-SARS received a distress call that Obunwa and Abe, who claimed to be operatives of F-SARS, accosted Pastor Finan and his younger brother and subjected them to thorough search in their compound at Igwuruta, with undisclosed sum of money extorted from them.

The suspects impersonated as operatives of F-SARS and they have been doing it for a while. We quickly responded to the distress call, because the members of the public adequately utilized the distress lines that we gave.

We traced the impersonators and we arrested them. We have a lot of miscreants who are impersonating security agents, especially F-SARS, thereby harassing, intimidating and extorting money from innocent members of the public, who ought to be very vigilant.

Will you say that it is safe to say that the harassing of the youths in the country are done by FAKE operatives, or is it a misleading action from the agency.

What do you have to say about this……
