NYSC National Health Insurance Scheme Enrollment 2018/2019 (NHIS)– This is to notify and inform all NYSC prospective Corps Members who have been posted or deployed to their Primary Places of Assignment (PPA) that they now register for the 2018 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) National Health Insurance Scheme Enrollment Scheme.
About- The Scheme established under the National Health Insurance Scheme Act, Cap N42, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, is aimed at providing easy access to healthcare for all Nigerians at an affordable cost through various prepayment systems. NHIS is totally committed to securing universal coverage and access to adequate and affordable healthcare in order to improve the health status of Nigerians, especially for those participating in the various programmes/products of the Scheme.
Recently National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) boss has approved the enrollment of corps members into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
Director-General of the NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, disclosed the approval of the health services scheme to journalists at the opening ceremony of the 2018 edition of the NYSC Annual Management Conference which coincides with the 45th anniversary of the scheme held in Akure.
Corps members who qualified can now create an account with NHIS and apply via the below process
Only persons enrolled in the Formal Sector Social Health Insurance Scheme can register for a web account. To continue, please provide us with your NHIS number, surname and date of birth as printed on your NHIS card.
