We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR Intern (Planning)

Location: Lagos
Department: Corporate Services & Development
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • The Human Resources (HR) Intern will provide administrative support for Main One’s recruitment activities facilitating the timely placement of the right candidates with the company. The HR Intern will also support the performance management function.
  • Support hiring units to make requisitions on the Company’s Recruitment Portal
  • Ensure all assigned roles have a detailed JD.
  • Post internal and external vacancies.
  • Source for potential candidates for assigned cadres through online channels (e.g. social platforms).
  • Maintain an unsolicited CVs database by reviewing weekly the general HR mailboxes for unsolicited applications and CVs, screening and sorting suitable CVs for further review.
  • Conduct initial CV sifts and shortlist candidates for assigned grade levels
  • Compile test scores/results and upload assessment scripts on the recruitment portal.
  • Provide feedback to candidates within the stipulated process turnaround time
  • Assist with populating a talent and succession database to create a pipeline for all roles across the company’s functions/departments, especially hard to fill/ critical roles.
  • Draft employment contracts for assigned levels.
  • Obtain and assess credentials of candidates.
  • Support the coordination of the new hire orientation and onboarding process
  • Conduct first level telephone interviews to screen candidates when required
  • Shortlist and summarize CVs for easier evaluation before sending to hiring departmental heads.
  • Administer psychometric tests or similar tests that assess the applicant’s personality fit for all sales candidates.
  • Coordinate assessment tests and interview sessions for successful candidates
  • Track recruitment statistics and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for assigned roles.
  • Provide support for HR Special Projects including conducting research as required.
  • Complete other ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Prioritization and time management skills to manage multiple conflicting activities and accomplish the desired end results within stipulated timelines.

  • 1+ year of relevant experience in recruitment and selection

Job Title: HR Intern (Operations)

Key Responsibilities

  • The HR Intern will provide administrative support to the HR Operations team.
  • Administer incoming requests and enquiries from staff.
  • Coordinate the administration of staff surveys.
  • Conduct research and analysis on HR best practices for the Group.
  • Coordinate the development of weekly HR newsletter.
  • Provide support with the administration of Health Insurance to staff.
  • Support with filing and updates of staff records.
  • Perform other tasks, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Title: Legal Officer

Location: Lagos
Department: Legal
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • The Legal Officer will provide operational legal support to the Main One group’s businesses across multiple jurisdictions, advising on commercial transactions, vendor and supplier contracts, and corporate legal matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial legal agreements for the Company inclusive of service agreements, sales agreements, service level agreements as may be required.
  • Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.
  • Manage and liaise with external solicitors, update litigation and debt recovery database, and provide regular updates.
  • Prepare and draft correspondences, letters, and other relevant documents;
  • Draft, review and negotiate legal agreements for the Company’s vendor and supplier transactions including purchase agreements, third party service agreements, interconnection agreements, professional service agreements, etc.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial legal matters.
  • Perform all such other duties as directed by the Supervisor, or Head of Unit.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (LLB; BL) with a Second Class Upper Grade.
  • Having a Master’s Degree (LLM) is an added advantage.
  • 4+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Thorough understanding of general and specific Company and commercial law;
  • Experience in consumer-facing businesses, business plus knowledge of Telecom and/or support for sales clients preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and possess the ability to interact effectively with other attorneys and staff, diverse in-house client groups, senior executives, and customers’ representatives;
  • Strong ability to think strategically, creatively, and innovatively;
  • High professionalism, self-motivation, efficiency, and results-oriented delivery on short timelines;
  • Ability to interact effectively with business and technical professionals in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong inter-personal and team working skills.
