BUK Post UTME 2022/2023 Form Cut off mark – Bayero University, Kano will conduct online screening for all candidates of UTME and DE who have chosen the institution as first choice to enable them key into the University’s portal.

Sequel to the report of the University Central Admissions Committee and the decisions by the University Management, the candidates will not be subjected to any written test as done previously.

According to a statement signed by the Director of the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR), Hajiya Amina Umar Abdullahi on behalf of the acting Registrar, Malam Jamil Salim, the University has pegged 220 and above cut-off points for programmes in the Faculties of Clinical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences while Faculties of Allied Health Sciences, Dentistry and Law have their cut off points from 200 and above.

The statement added that the cut-off points for programmes in other faculties are 180 and above. They are: Agriculture, Arts and Islamic Studies, Basic Medical Sciences, Communication, Computer Science and Information Technology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Education and Engineering. Others are Life Sciences, Management Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences.

According to the statement, online screening will commence on 3rd September,  and close on 18th September, “However, printing of acknowledgement slip will continue up to midnight of 20th September, ” it said.

The candidates have been urged to visit the University’s website at www.buk.edu.ng and click on 2022/2023 UTME/DE online screening exercise for registration.

Similarly, all candidates are advised to visit any JAMB Office or accredited CBT centre nearest to them to upload their O’Level results (WAEC, NECO etc)

Prospective candidates are expected to adhere to the following instructions, and visit here for the 2022/2023 screening exercise.

The minimum Institutional cut-off marks for Bayero University, Kano remains 180, however, the cut-off marks for some programmes vary as follows;

  1. Faculty of Allied Health Sciences   –   200
  2. Faculty of Clinical Sciences (MBBS)  –  250
  3. Faculty of Dentistry   –   200
  4. Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences   –    220
  5. Faculty of Law   –     220

Similarly, as was the case last year, the cut-off marks for Blind candidates (ONLY) who applied to be admitted into the University is 160.

How to Apply BUK Post UTME Screening Exercise 2022/2023

Candidates are expected to:

Step 1:  Clear with Jamb by accepting and printing Jamb Admission letter.

Step 2: Login to the above address with their Jamb Number, State of origin and gender to check Admission status.

Step 3: Download BUK Admission letter, Undertaking and University Health Services Registration Form using the provided link. (https://mybuk.buk.edu.ng/myScreening/)

Step 4: Generate, download and print a BUK Personalized Payment Form (BUKPPF).

Acceptance fee of Ten Thousand naira (N10,000.00) is reflected on student’s BUKPPF, to be paid using Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platforms. 

Make sure you carefully read, understand and follow the payment procedure, as BUK will not be liable for any loss of funds as a result of incorrect data entry, which may lead to unnecessary delay in validating and processing of payment.

Payment can be validated by the Candidates via clicking check payment status at the payment page.

Note: All fees are not refundable after payment.

Step 5: Upload the following documents in jpg format (Size must be less than 1MB):

  • Jamb Slip
  • Jamb Admission Letter
  • O Level Result
  • A Level Result (DE Candidates only)
  • Any other relevant document(s).

Note:

  • The above document(s) may be rejected due to poor quality or otherwise. However, Candidates are expected to re-upload a clearer copy, if any of the document is rejected.
  • For inquiries/complaint(s), Candidates are to use message box icon by the right side of the site.
  • After this step, Candidates may experience a delay of 12 to 24 hours while awaiting documents to be approved.

Step 6: Print Acknowledgement Slip, which contains registration number and further instructions to be followed for the registration and documentation.

Step 7: After successful completion of the above steps, Candidates are to proceed for registration at https://mybuk.buk.edu.ng/ug/ for online registration exercise.
