Hurry now and apply for the 2017/2018 Barclays tertiary scholarship as part of the Barclays Bank Ghana’s Shared Growth programme, the University of Professional Studies invites applications from suitably qualified students under the Barclays Tertiary Education Scholarship.
This is a joint effort between Barclays Bank Ghana and the University and supporting the commitment of the Barclays Bank to bring societal challenges whiles contributing to the growth and economic development of the country.
The scholarship is aimed at supporting students with funding challenges, to encourage and support students pursuing programmes that is keyed to government and national development agenda, and strengthen the relationship with tertiary institutions
Scholarship Eligibility
Applicants applying for the scholarship must
- Be Ghanaian
- Be an undergraduate
- Be a continuing student of UPSA (Level 200 – 400)
- Have excellent academic record – a GPA of 3.0 and above
- Be able to demonstrate financial need
- Add a statement of intent. (an Essay)
- Provide two referees, one from your Faculty.
- Student beneficiaries will need to open a Barclays Ignition Account (Student Account) into which funds will be disbursed.
Scholarship duration
Tenure of scholarship for beneficiary student is for one academic year renewable. Selection for the next academic year scholarship is not an automatic guarantee.

Application Deadline
All application must be submitted on or before Friday, 22nd September, 2017.
Note– Any application that is received after the closing date of the scholarship will not be attended to and will be discarded. Only shortlisted applicants will be interviewed.
